CapeWest moves away from plastic membership cards

Whether you have a plastic membership card or a laminated paper card, you will never need one as a CapeWest Club Member.

We are testing a new platform and will be issuing digital cards to all members, sponsors and friends of the club during the test phase.

But there is more to the digital card than a mere image on your phone. You can also add pictures of your boats as well as Emergency Contact Details.

The swipe function on the phone will move through the screens to the individual sets of info.

Each Membership category has its own unique card.

All profile images are moderated and offensive images will be denied, marking your card with a Red Line over the face of it.

The Digital Card is also fitted with an animated security tag to ensure it is the originally issued card.

The QR Code links to the member’s profile on our website.

Future plans for the platform includes linking the QR Code to allow scanning at ranking events for attendance and ranking.
