Sonstraal Dam is the only public dam designated for Radio Controlled Boating in the City of Cape Town.
As a long time favourite we use it for testing purposes and casual sailing.
Due to the lack of infrastructure at Sonstraal Dam, events held here do not have an endorsement from the Model Boating Association of South Africa and does not add to your points.
It is the official yachting pond of Northern City Radio Sailing and DF95 Racing uses it as an alternative to MAC.
