Scale Boats operating under the CapeWest flag must have a safety certificate issued by a Club Surveyor.

(This is not just for fun).

When joining CapeWest, your ship or boat will be surveyed to ensure the following:

  2. The noise emitted from the vessel does not exceed 10dB above the ambient noise level. (measured from shore under max power).
  3. The length and build of the vessel meets the category for registration in competitions.

A Safety Survey Certificate in A4 size will be issued and a scale version copy must be displayed in the vessel cabin. Safety Certificates is valid for 1 year.
